Ci2eye Executive TeamRuth2

Ruth Andrews (Northampton)

Trained in Early Years Education and as an Ofsted Inspector of Nurseries, I am currently supervisor of Samuels Christian Nursery in Northampton. I am passionate about the need for excellence in Early Years education and over the past few years, have been instrumental in helping to establish the Ci2eye initiative. Together with my husband Brian I am seeking to lead this initiative forward, establishing contacts with Christians in this country and across the globe!

Brian2

Brian Andrews (Northampton)

Senior Pastor of Broadmead Baptist Church, Northampton since 1987, I have shared in pioneering the vision for Ci2eye with my wife Ruth. I seek to bring theological and pastoral support to the Action Team and am working to extend the ministry of Ci2eye amongst local churches.

Jane BJane Bentley (Chesterfield)

I'm 48, married to George and have two grown up children, Ben and Naomi. I trained as a teacher, specialising in Early Years when Ben and Naomi were in Primary school. I started teaching in a Primary school in Chesterfield, and after a couple of years, I ran the nursery there. I stayed in the same school for 8 years, ending up still running the nursery, but also being acting Deputy Head! The church to which I belong built a brand new church on a piece of wasteland, half of which is a dedicated, purpose built day nursery. This opened in 2003, and I have been managing it ever since. I've known Ruth Andrews for 21 years and she has known my heart for giving children the best start in life - to introduce them to God's love. I have been involved with Ci2eye since Ruth asked me in 2001 if I would like to go to a meeting with her to discuss the setting up of this new venture - Ci2eye!

Rachel ARachel Asbery (Sheffield)

Hello,I am Rachel Asbery and I have always had a heart for young children and their families. Since having my own children I became involved with groups they became involved with. !  ran a mother and toddler group , a sunday school class for the 3 year olds, and a service in church for the under 5's and their parent/ carers during the week.

Since Sept 2000 I have run our local church playgroup and that has certainly kept me busy! I am thrilled to be apart of Gods BIG picture where young children are concerned and that is why I am involved with Ci2eye.

Alison W

 Alison Wootten (Lincoln)
I am the supervisor at Swallows Nest Pre-school in Lincoln. The pre-school was opened in 1993 by St George’s Church, to serve the community of Swallowbeck. The name for the pre-school comes partly from the name of the area and partly from Psalm 84 v 3 ‘and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have a young’.
I became the supervisor 6 years ago. About half of the staff are Christians but they all agree with our mission statement and most of them have children who have attended Swallows Nest in the past.
Three years ago I also started working for a few hours a week as Families Visitor with St George’s Church. This has increased my contacts with the parents as I now visit the new children in their home before they start, also if they are ill or when Mum has had a new baby. I run a Toddler Church one afternoon to which they are all invited and a few of the pre-school children attend regularly each year. I am part of the church’s new venture called ‘T-Time Church’ one Sunday afternoon each month for families in the community and a few pre-school children and their families come to this as well. I am also hoping to start a parenting course produced by Care for the Family in the Autumn – the invitations have gone out, so now I wait to see who God wants to be there!
It has all been very exciting to be part of God’s plan for the community of Swallowbeck. He has changed me so much in the last few years, so that I have been able to follow His plans.

Sue Croft (Northampton)

I have three children, aged 4,5 and 7. I currently run a large Toddler Group, at Abington Avenue URC in Northampton; ministering to over 80 families fortnightly. I came to know God myself as a result of attending this same group! Knowing the love of God has made such a difference in my life and also my children’s; I want that difference for more children! I also work with children in Early Years, at Samuel’s Christian Nursery.
