Working Partnerships that Really Work
Early Years policy and practice is continually on the move. In these times of positive and radical change, practitioners have an opportunity to lead the way in the kind of effective partnership working needed to make sure that every child flourishes. The constant urge to work together in partnership to improve outcomes for children and families is reinforced by legislation, but legislation alone will not break down walls between professions; only people have the capacity to build the strong inter-professional relationships required for long term partnership working which will benefit children, families and practitioners at the core of our communities.
Significant to building working partnerships that really work are issues of trust and sustainability; most significant of all are the relationships between the professionals involved. My strategy builds relationships through the amalgamation of a multiplicity of inter-professional knowledge, experience and skills. This approach could benefit practitioners, from a range of different and complimentary job roles and professions, who are concerned with enhancing the well-being of children and families.
