Promises day Nursery, Chesterfield

Promises Day Nursery is a 39 place full day care nursery, open for children aged 3 months-5 years.  We opened in January 2003, in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, with 6 children in a week, and now have over 70. We have known God doing amazing things in many lives through our time of being open.  We have a mixture of Christian and non-Christian staff and children from many different backgrounds.

Being a Christian nursery is a great privilege, but it can also present its own problems.  We let parents know right from the outset that we are a Christian nursery and some embrace that - others run a mile!  It is an awesome responsibility knowing that you might be the only face of Jesus that children and their parents might meet, but also a great blessing to know that you are being used by God to lay Godly foundations in the lives of the next generation.  What we are doing has implications for eternity!
